Data Migration Support - Slack + Google Workspace

Summary We are looking for a Migration Project Manager / Technical Specialist to own the packaging, extraction, and migration of 100% of our active team communication and history from Slack to Google Chat Key Responsibilities Data Extraction & Packaging: Manage the technical extraction of Slack history, direct messages, public/private channels, files, and metadata. Migration Execution: Package and map the extracted data to cleanly populate the new Google Chat architecture, ensuring minimal disruption to active workflows. Permission & Access Control Mapping: Implement historical data alignment that respects original workspace access levels, mirroring the Google Drive permission models. Timeline Management: Manage the technical sprint meeting established deadlines to keep subsequent enhancement phases on schedule. Quality Assurance & Optimization: Test migrated spaces for data integrity, broken attachments, and search index readiness so the data is fully queryable by our upcoming Gemini-first deep search integrations. What We Are Looking For The Migration Expert: Proven track record of managing enterprise or mid-sized platform data migrations, specifically moving workspaces out of Slack and into the Google Workspace ecosystem. Technical & Project Management Hybrid: Comfortable with data packaging, APIs, and scripting/tools required for data translation, while simultaneously managing timeline constraints and agency-level execution. Information Security Savvy: Deep understanding of data privacy, compliance, and workspace permission structures during a massive data overhaul.
