Data Prep and Import Specialist

Tiller-Hewitt HealthCare Strategies is looking to hire a data prep and import specialist to join our informatics team. This person will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of client data in our proprietary PRM tool. This will include normalizing, processing, importing and reconciling data for multiple clients. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience in data cleanup, extraction, transformation and loading data or related roles, and the ability to communicate and answer client questions about the proprietary system. Responsibilities: - Gather, clean, and organize data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external data providers - Provide quality assurance of all data sets – preparing them for import and handling missing values, outliers and inconsistencies - Import data into client databases within our platform - Verify data integrity after import - Answer client questions related to implementation and usage of the PRM tool - Generate reports from single or multiple systems - Provide technical expertise in data integrity and normalization - Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance data collection and analysis - Attend virtual meetings with team members and clients, as needed - Work with the Informatics team, Development Team and clients to understand data needs and requirements - Communicate data quality issues and recommendations - Document data preparation processes and workflows Requirements: - Associate degree from an accredited university or college in related field - 2-3 years of experience in data cleanup and normalization or related roles - Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, csv and pipe delimited files; including the use of VLOOKUP, Pivot - Tables, and other formulas required - Ability to manage large amounts of data in Excel and maintain strong attention to detail - Solid ability to learn new technologies and possess the technical aptitude required to understand flow of data through systems as well as system interaction - Knowledge of medical field/healthcare specialties preferred - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail - High-level written and verbal communication skills This is a fully remote, 1099 position. Computers are necessary equipment and are the responsibility of the contracted employee Must be available during normal business hours.
