Databricks Architect

Location: Remote Engagement Type: Contract/Freelance Experience: 10+ Years We are looking for an experienced Databricks Architect to design and lead enterprise-scale data platform solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Databricks Lakehouse architecture, cloud data engineering, data governance, and enterprise integrations. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement Lakehouse architecture using the Medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) framework. • Build batch and streaming pipelines using Delta Live Tables. • Develop scalable ingestion frameworks for databases, APIs, SFTP, and SaaS applications. • Implement data governance using Unity Catalog and RBAC. • Design orchestration solutions using Apache Airflow and CI/CD practices. • Optimize Databricks workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Establish monitoring, lineage, observability, and data quality frameworks. • Lead architecture discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Required Skills: Databricks, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, Apache Spark/PySpark, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Apache Airflow, Data Governance, Performance Tuning, and Cost Optimization.
