The Role: The Deal Sourcing Analyst / Associate will be responsible for identifying, researching, and engaging with potential acquisition targets that align with our investment criteria. This role is heavily focused on outbound sourcing, business owner engagement, and generating qualified meetings with prospective sellers. The ideal candidate is comfortable with direct outreach, persistent follow-up, and building relationships with business owners. The initial role is intended to be project-based, though we are open to a longer-term relationship if there is a strong mutual fit. Key Responsibilities: 1. Deal Sourcing Research Build and maintain a pipeline of potential acquisition targets by identifying businesses that meet investment criteria across trade, size, and geography. Use databases, industry resources, online platforms, and market research tools to gather relevant company and owner contact information. Experience with tools such as ZoomInfo, RocketReach, or similar platforms is strongly preferred. 2. Outbound Outreach & Owner Engagement Conduct high-volume outbound outreach via phone, email, and other channels to connect directly with business owners. Clearly communicate our partnership approach and evaluate owner interest in discussing strategic or transition opportunities. 3. Relationship Building & Meeting Generation Develop relationships with business owners through thoughtful, consistent follow-up. The primary objective is to convert cold outreach into warm conversations and ultimately schedule qualified meetings with owners who are open to exploring a potential transaction. 4. Pipeline Management & Execution Track outreach activity, owner conversations, and pipeline progress in an organized and disciplined manner. Maintain detailed records of target companies, engagement status, and next steps to ensure consistent follow-up and maximize conversion to meetings.
