Debian package maintainer

Debian Package Maintainer (Contract / Consulting) We are looking for an experienced Debian Package Maintainer to help us prepare and submit a package for inclusion in the official Debian repositories. Requirements * Must be an active or former Debian Maintainer (DM) or Debian Developer (DD), or have a proven track record of maintaining packages in the official Debian archive. * Must have one or more packages currently included in the official Debian repositories. * Strong knowledge of Debian Policy, debhelper, lintian, copyright files, and package sponsorship procedures. * Experience working with mentors.debian.net, RFS (Request for Sponsorship), and the Debian package review process. * Ability to review an existing package, identify any issues, and make the changes required for acceptance into Debian. Scope of Work * Review our existing Debian package. * Ensure the package complies with current Debian Policy and best practices. * Resolve packaging issues and lintian warnings as needed. * Prepare the package for Debian sponsorship and submission. * Guide us through the review process and address reviewer feedback. * Act as the package sponsor or coordinate with an appropriate sponsor. We are looking for someone with real-world experience getting packages accepted into the official Debian archive, not just creating .deb packages.
