Website Designer Needed Build a Custom WordPress Website for Throwback Kitchen Project Overview Throwback Kitchen is a nostalgia-driven dessert brand built around the concept of recreating the foods, snacks, and experiences that defined childhood for Millennials and 90s kids. Our tagline is: Childhood Favorites, Reimagined. Through limited-edition weekly drops, we transform iconic childhood favorites into premium ice cream and dessert collections inspired by products such as Strawberry Shortcake Bars, Dunkaroos, Cosmic Brownies, Pop-Tarts, Toaster Strudel, SunnyD, and many other nostalgic treats. This is not a traditional ice cream shop website. The primary purpose of the website is to: • Grow our subscriber list ("The Throwback List") • Drive traffic to our weekly product drops • Build a memorable and recognizable consumer brand We are looking for a designer/developer who can create a custom-designed website that feels fun, nostalgic, and premium while maintaining strong conversion-focused design principles. Platform & Technology Requirements The website will be built on: • WordPress • Elementor Pro • Gravity Forms Elite • Hosted on Hostinger We will purchase and provide: • Elementor Pro license • Gravity Forms Elite license • Hosting account access • Final logo package • Brand guide • Written content • Photography and product imagery (where available) The website should be built directly within our Hostinger hosting environment. No custom-coded CMS solutions. No page builders other than Elementor. The site should be easy for us to update and manage after launch. Design Direction We are looking for a custom design that blends: 90s Nostalgia Influences may include: • Saved by the Bell • Nickelodeon • Saturday Morning Cartoons • Ice Cream Truck Culture • Arcades • Lunchbox Snacks • Bright geometric shapes • Bold typography • Modern Consumer Brand The website should also feel: • Clean • Premium • Mobile-friendly • Fast • Professional We do NOT want: • A website that looks like it was built in the 1990s • Pixelated retro graphics everywhere • A cluttered design • Generic ice cream shop templates The brand should feel approximately: 70% Modern Consumer Brand 30% 90s Nostalgia Primary Conversion Goal The most important action on the website is: Join The Throwback List Visitors will submit: • First Name • Email Address • Mobile Phone Number • ZIP Code • SMS Consent Checkbox The form will be built using Gravity Forms. We will handle all CRM, email, SMS, and automation workflows separately through Make.com and Brevo. The website should aggressively and naturally encourage visitors to join The Throwback List. Website Pages 1. Home Page The homepage should include: Hero Section • Brand logo • Tagline • Large product imagery • Join The Throwback List CTA • Order Now CTA How It Works • Join The Throwback List • Get Early Access • Order Before We Sell Out Featured Collections Examples: • Ice Cream Truck Collection • Lunchbox Dessert Collection • Saturday Morning Collection • Candy Aisle Collection Why Join The Throwback List Benefits including: • Early Access • Secret Menu Drops • Vote on Future Flavors • Birthday Rewards • Exclusive Perks Social Media Feed Instagram feed integration preferred. The goal is to keep the homepage feeling fresh without requiring constant updates. Final CTA Section Prominent Throwback List signup form. 2. Throwback List Landing Page This page is critical. All advertising campaigns will drive traffic here. The purpose of this page is conversion. Content should include: • Benefits of joining • Sample collections • Social proof • Signup form Minimal distractions. Strong call-to-action. Mobile-first design. 3. Collections Page This will function as a collection archive. Examples: Drop #001 – Ice Cream Truck Collection Drop #002 – Lunchbox Dessert Collection Drop #003 – Saturday Morning Collection Visitors should be able to browse previous collections and flavor lineups. This page is intended to support storytelling, brand building, and SEO. 4. About Us Page Sections should include: • Our Mission • Why Now • Brand Pillars • Meet Chef Angela • Company Story Simple and visually engaging. 5. Contact Page Simple contact form and business information. Ordering Process Orders will NOT be processed through the website. We use Hotplate to manage: • Product Drops • Ordering • Payment Processing • Pickup Management The website should include highly visible: ORDER NOW buttons that direct users to our Hotplate page. Mobile Requirements Mobile performance is extremely important. We expect a large percentage of visitors to come from: • Instagram • Facebook • TikTok The mobile experience should be prioritized over desktop.
