Design drafting with ArchiCAD
Worldwide
About Eco Interiors: Eco Interiors is a boutique residential interior design studio based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Led by our owner and creative director, with our senior designer/architect, we work across a carefully selected portfolio of high-end residential projects at any one time. Our work spans full interior design, furniture sourcing, space planning, and construction documentation. We are a small, collaborative team that works closely together and takes pride in the quality and detail of our output. We are growing and looking for a reliable, skilled drafter to join us on an ongoing part-time basis and become a genuine part of the team. The Role: You will work directly with our creative director and senior designer on active residential design projects, handling the drafting and documentation work that sits behind the design decisions. This is not a one-off gig — we are looking for someone who can grow with us as our project load increases. Expect a consistent ongoing engagement with clear briefs, regular feedback, and a team that communicates well. What You Will Do: • Produce construction documentation sets in ArchiCAD (floor plans, elevations, sections, details) • Draft residential interior layouts, furniture plans, and space planning drawings • Update and revise drawings based on direction from Rob and Sally • Assist with interior design schedules and finishes documentation • Format and lay out client presentation documents in Canva (mood boards, concept presentations, material palettes) • Work from design briefs and marked-up drawings to deliver accurate, well-presented files What We Are Looking For Must have: • Proficient in ArchiCAD — please share examples of your work • Demonstrated experience drafting residential interior design or architecture projects • Strong Canva skills for client-facing presentation layouts • High attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate drawings • Reliable communication and ability to work independently in a remote setup • Experience with Australian residential building conventions — or a demonstrated willingness to learn them if your background is in another country Nice to have: • Experience with FF&E schedules and interior design documentation • SketchUp or 3D visualisation skills • Previous experience working within a small design studio What We Offer: • Ongoing part-time work — not a one-off project • Clear briefs and direction from an experienced senior designer and creative director • Collaborative, low-ego team environment • Flexible hours — we care about the output, not when you work • Opportunity to grow your hours as our project pipeline expands
