UI/UX Design for Daycare Platform — Web App + 2 Android Apps

I'm looking for a UI/UX designer to redesign three products that are already built and running in production: a web portal, an Android tablet kiosk app, and an Android phone admin app for a daycare management platform. Every screen works today. None has ever been touched by a designer — they were built by a developer, and it shows. You design. I implement. WHAT YOU'D BE DESIGNING Roughly 50 screens across three surfaces, with heavy component reuse: Web portal (React and Next JS), about 19 screens: dashboard, families, children, time entry, daily log, invoices, payments, staff, payouts, reports, export, settings, plus an internal admin console Kiosk app (Android tablet, native Jetpack Compose), about 15 screens Admin app (Android phone, native Compose), about 17 screens, a native counterpart to the portal The kiosk is a 10-inch tablet wall-mounted at a daycare entrance. A parent arrives, types the last four digits of their phone number, picks their child, and taps in or out. That has to take under five seconds and confirm unmistakably that it registered. The same tablet is used by staff to clock in and log meals, naps and diapers behind a PIN. Two very different users, one screen, and it has to be readable from a step away. DELIVERABLES Design system: light and dark tokens, type scale, spacing, radii, elevation, icon set Figma component library with full variant states: buttons, text/number/money/phone/date inputs, selects, tables, status chips, modals and dialogs, toasts, sidebar and bottom navigation Every screen in both light and dark. Web at desktop width 1440px, tablet width 768px and mobile width 390px. Android at phone and 10-inch tablet. Empty, loading, error and dense states for every screen. A brand-new account with zero data has to look as good as a table with 200 rows. This is not droppable scope. Clean print layout for invoices and per-family reports Organized, annotated Figma file plus exported assets, transferred to my account at handoff and owned outright by me CONSTRAINTS Android designs must be buildable in Jetpack Compose Material 3. No custom rendering engines. Web is plain CSS custom properties. No Tailwind, no component framework. Tokens should map cleanly to CSS variables. The hardware is modest, so avoid designs that depend on heavy blur or constant animation. In-app modals only, never browser popups. Every flow already exists and works. You're redesigning, not inventing flows. Flow improvements are welcome, but the underlying data model is fixed. HOW I'D LIKE TO WORK Milestones, with approval at each gate: Direction — two or three concepts on one web screen and one kiosk screen Design system and component library Kiosk app Web portal Admin app Admin console and final handoff Full reference material for every existing screen comes after hiring. I know this product deeply, so expect fast and specific feedback rather than vague direction. NOT LOOKING FOR Template reskins. Desktop layouts squeezed into mobile. Beautiful screens that only hold up with three rows of fake data. Landing-page portfolios. IN YOUR PROPOSAL Data-dense dashboard or business software you have designed — show me the actual work, not a generic portfolio Any native Android or Material Design experience Any kiosk, POS or public touchscreen work How you would solve the five-second parent check-in described above Your milestone breakdown and how many revision rounds are included Strong potential for ongoing work after this project.
