UI/UX Designer & Developer Wanted for EdTech Platform
Worldwide
UI/UX Designer & Developer Wanted We're a growing EdTech company rethinking how students learn online. Our current platform works, but it doesn't feel like it was built for the people using it. Clunky navigation, inconsistent UI, and an onboarding flow that loses users before they see the value. We know the problem. We need someone who can fix it. We're not looking for a design agency. We're not looking for a developer who'll implement whatever gets thrown at them. We're looking for one person with genuine product intuition, someone who can look at a broken user experience, diagnose it, and rebuild it right. This starts as a paid trial. If the work is strong and the collaboration is easy, we're ready to talk about a full-time or long-term retainer arrangement immediately after. The trial scope: Audit our existing LMS interface and deliver a redesigned user dashboard, including the student home screen, course progress view, and notification center. We want the full process: UX research notes, wireframes, high-fidelity Figma mockups, and a working prototype. Bonus if you can implement it. The kind of person we're looking for: You have at least 5 years of hands-on product design experience. You've shipped real products, not just concepts, and you can point to specific UX decisions you made that moved a metric. You're fluent in Figma: auto-layout, design systems, component libraries, design tokens, the works. You understand interaction design and can prototype flows that actually communicate how something feels to use, not just how it looks. If you also write React, Next.js, or Tailwind, or build in Webflow or Framer, that moves you to the top of the list immediately. We're building a design system from scratch and want someone who can bridge UX strategy and frontend development without needing a translator in between. Usability testing and UX research experience matters here. We want wireframes backed by thinking, not just instinct. If you've run user interviews, built journey maps, or conducted heuristic evaluations on live products, tell us about it. Industries that give you bonus points: EdTech, LMS platforms, e-learning, SaaS, or any product where user retention and engagement are the core design challenge. Experience with accessibility standards, WCAG compliance, inclusive design is a strong plus given our student audience. What working with us looks like long-term: You'd own the product design and frontend layer entirely. Every new feature starts with you. You'd work async with a small, focused team, have real input on roadmap decisions, and be trusted to make calls independently. We don't micromanage designers, we hire people we trust and get out of their way.t
