UI/UX Designer — Hair & Wellness Mobile App

Job Description: I am building a hair health companion app for women with textured and African hair. Think Flo Health meets a hair tracking and community platform. I need a talented UI/UX designer to take a detailed brief to full production-ready designs from scratch. A direct competitor app will be provided as a reference point to understand the product category, feature set, and user journey — the goal is to design something that surpasses it in aesthetic quality and depth. What you will be doing: Design a polished, pixel-perfect iOS UI from brief and competitor reference Cover the full user journey — onboarding, daily care logging, hair health scoring, community forum, studio booking, and gamification Build a complete design system in Figma — components, tokens, typography, colour styles Design all screens including edge states (empty states, error states, loading states, notifications) Ensure the aesthetic is editorial, apothecary-inspired, elevated — dark ink and cream tones, Cormorant Garamond and Montserrat typography Design for accessibility and mobile usability Prepare handoff-ready files for developers What we are looking for: Strong portfolio in mobile app design, ideally wellness, health, or lifestyle Experience with Figma and component-based design systems Attention to detail and sensitivity to elevated, editorial aesthetics Bonus: experience designing for African or diaspora audiences Platform: iOS and google play Tools: Figma Please share your portfolio and two or three examples of mobile app work most relevant to this project.
