We're seeking a creative thought partner to help transform an existing conceptual model into a compelling visual framework. This is not a traditional graphic design project. We already have the core concepts and content. We're looking for someone who excels at helping organizations organize complex ideas into intuitive, engaging visual frameworks. Think less "infographic" and more "conceptual framework." The Project We have an existing model that illustrates key elements of a career-connected learning framework. We'd like to rethink how the model communicates relationships, progression, and long-term impact. Rather than simply redesigning the current graphic, we're looking for someone who can help us answer questions such as: What is the best way to represent the relationship among the core concepts? Should certain ideas be foundational while others represent outcomes or long-term impact? How can the framework better communicate a developmental journey rather than a collection of concepts? How can the design illustrate systems thinking, feedback loops, or ecosystem relationships? How can organizational activities be visually connected to learner outcomes and broader societal impact? We're looking for someone who will challenge assumptions, propose new ways of thinking about the model, and help create a visual framework that is both strategically sound and visually compelling. What We're Looking For Experience creating conceptual frameworks, systems maps, theory of change models, ecosystem diagrams, or information visualizations Strong strategic thinking and ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear visual narratives Comfortable facilitating conceptual discussions and translating them into effective design A portfolio demonstrating work beyond marketing graphics or branding Excellent collaboration and communication skills Deliverables Two to three conceptual approaches for organizing the framework One refined visual framework Final files suitable for web, presentations, reports, and print Design rationale explaining key strategic decisions Please share examples of conceptual frameworks, systems maps, theory of change diagrams, or other information design work you've created. We'd also love to hear about your process for helping clients clarify complex ideas before turning them into visuals.
