UI/UX Designer for High-End Websites & Custom Software

We are a web and software development agency in the Netherlands looking for a skilled UI/UX designer for a long-term collaboration, not just a single project. Most projects will focus on website design, but there may also be projects involving custom software interfaces, such as dashboards, client portals, SaaS platforms, and web apps. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for visual detail, UX, creativity, conversion, and modern digital design. This is not a role for someone who only creates basic layouts in Figma. We want a designer who can create designs that feel polished, strategic, practical, conversion-focused, and development-ready. You should naturally think about: visual hierarchy spacing and balance typography conversion flow responsive behavior design systems interaction behavior creative direction custom visual elements how to make a design feel distinctive We also value designers who can go beyond standard layouts and bring unique visual ideas to the table, such as abstract graphics, icons, infographics, visual explanations, subtle motion concepts, or supporting visuals that make a website feel more memorable. You do not need to be a motion developer, but you should be able to think about motion and interaction during the design phase and clearly communicate these ideas to the development team. Responsibilities Design high-quality websites and landing pages in Figma Design custom software interfaces such as dashboards, portals, SaaS platforms, and web apps Translate business goals into strong design decisions Create clear page structures, user flows, and conversion paths Design reusable components and scalable design systems Create clean, structured, development-ready Figma files using Auto Layout, components, styles, and reusable elements Prepare responsive design directions for desktop, tablet, and mobile where needed Define important UI states, such as hover, active, empty, error, and loading states Think about animations, transitions, hover states, and micro-interactions during the design phase Create or direct supporting visuals such as abstract graphics, simple illustrations, icons, infographics, or visual accents when useful Review the implemented design when needed and provide feedback on visual accuracy, spacing, responsiveness, and interaction details Requirements Strong experience in UI/UX design Advanced Figma skills, including Auto Layout, components, variants, styles, design systems, responsive setup, prototyping, and clean file organization Strong portfolio with high-quality website designs Experience with SaaS, dashboards, client portals, web apps, or custom software interfaces is a strong plus Strong understanding of conversion-focused design, UX principles, user behavior, typography, spacing, layout, and visual hierarchy Able to create development-ready designs, not just visual concepts Able to explain design decisions clearly based on UX, hierarchy, conversion, and brand direction Able to structure content clearly and persuasively, not just place text into a layout Able to review developed pages and communicate visual or UX adjustments when needed Experience with infographics, visual storytelling, or simple motion graphics is a plus Clear English communication Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Payment Work is structured on a fixed price per project basis.
