UX/UI Designer

About us We're a small, fast-moving vertical tech startup building products that change how people work in our industry. We work at high speed, lean heavily on AI to move faster and think bigger, and we value creative, outside-the-box problem-solving over following a playbook. The team is small but growing, so collaboration and mucking in together matter as much as individual craft. The role We're looking for a mid-to-senior UX/UI designer to join us on a 3-month contract and contribute fast. You'll pick up well-defined problems and turn them into polished, shipped interfaces, working within an existing design direction rather than setting it. Slotting quickly into how the team already works is key — this is a role for someone who integrates fast, executes at pace, and delivers high-quality work with minimal ramp-up. You'll work alongside our design team, product, and engineers to keep things moving. What you'll do - Turn defined requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI - Design for a range of users and contexts, balancing power and efficiency with simplicity and ease - Work across the design process: ideation, interaction design, visual design, and handoff - Use AI tools to accelerate your workflow — prototyping, research synthesis, asset generation, and iteration - Work within our existing design system and visual language - Collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering to ship quickly and refine post-launch - Bring fresh, unconventional thinking to genuinely hard problems What we're looking for UX/UI design experience on digital products (web and/or mobile) A strong portfolio showing both thoughtful UX and high-quality visual/UI work A track record of integrating quickly into new teams and delivering at pace Experience designing for more than one type of user, and an instinct for when to optimise for power vs. simplicity Fluency in Figma and comfort working within an established design direction Genuine enthusiasm for using AI in your day-to-day design practice A collaborative, low-ego approach and comfort with ambiguity, speed, and a small-team environment Nice to have Experience in a vertical tech domain such as fintech, construction tech, or proptech — an advantage B2B SaaS or enterprise software experience Light user research or testing experience Why join High-impact, fast-moving work for a focused 3-month engagement A team that genuinely embraces AI and creative experimentation Mostly remote with the energy of in-person Dublin sessions if/when possible
