C# Desktop & Mobile Developer (Avalonia UI) – Long-Term Opportunity

I'm rebuilding an established business application that I've developed and refined over many years. The application contains approximately 60 screens and is being rebuilt from LiveCode using C# and Avalonia UI to create a modern, maintainable solution that runs across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android from a single codebase. I'm looking for one or two developers who would like to become long-term contributors to the project, continuing its development well beyond the initial rebuild. ## About the application The software currently includes functionality for: - Risk assessments - COSHH assessments - RAMS - Audits and inspections - Employee and training management - Asset management - Job scheduling - Reporting and PDF generation - Document management - Cloud synchronisation The application has evolved over many years through real-world use. The existing version serves as the blueprint, but the objective is to redesign and modernise it using C#, Avalonia and a clean, maintainable architecture rather than simply reproduce the existing application. I know the application and its business processes in depth and will provide clear specifications, answer questions promptly and remain closely involved throughout development. ## What you'll be doing Working alongside me, you'll: - Develop desktop and mobile features using C# and Avalonia UI. - Design clean, maintainable and reusable code. - Build polished, responsive user interfaces. - Implement business logic from detailed specifications. - Integrate REST APIs and cloud services. - Work with SQLite and SQL Server databases. - Help shape the application's architecture as it evolves. - Suggest improvements whenever you believe a better approach exists. ## Working arrangements I'm flexible regarding how the development team is structured and would be happy to work with: - A single experienced developer. - A senior developer who provides architectural guidance and delegates implementation work to a junior developer. - Two independent developers working together. I'm particularly interested in hearing from independent developers or small partnerships.
