We are looking for a highly meticulous and experienced freelancer to handle an in-depth web research and data entry project focused on the USA market. This is not a simple copy-paste task — it requires strong analytical skills, patience, and the ability to cross-verify information from multiple sources. Project Scope: Research and compile a database of 500+ small-to-mid-sized businesses across 5 different US states (e.g., contact details, industry category, employee count estimate, year founded, website, social media links). Verify each entry against at least 2 independent sources (e.g., company website + LinkedIn + Google Business listing) to ensure accuracy. Identify and flag any duplicate, outdated, or inactive business listings. Organize all data into a structured Google Sheet/Excel file with proper formatting, filters, and categorization. Some businesses may have limited online presence — you'll need to dig deeper using niche directories, state business registries, or public records. Write a short 2-3 line summary/insight for each industry category based on patterns you observe in the data. Requirements: Excellent English comprehension and attention to detail Prior experience with USA-based business research (preferred) Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas, sorting, filtering) Ability to meet strict deadlines without compromising accuracy Must NOT use bulk scraping tools that violate website terms of service — all research must be manual/ethical Deliverables: Fully verified, clean spreadsheet with source links for each entry Weekly progress report Note: This role demands precision.
