Developer Needed – Semi/Automated PowerPoint Presentation Reformatting Tool

PROJECT OVERVIEW I am looking for an experienced developer to build a semi/automated tool that takes existing PowerPoint presentations and reformats them into a new design — preserving all content while applying a new visual structure and template. The templates are sometimes a fixed page, or set of slides that introdice the target format such as start page, main pages, contact page, ... . The slides are built manually (not based on templates), so the tool needs to work with real-world, freeform presentations. The goal is a solution where the tool handles as much of the process as possible, while a human reviewer steps in where automation alone is not sufficient. --- WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO ACHIEVE - Load source PowerPoint presentations in a folder and a target design structure - Transfer content (text, images, tables, diagrams, notes) from the sources into the new design - Identify and flag slides that require human attention, with clear guidance on what needs to be reviewed - Produce a clean output file and a review report summarizing what was done and what still needs manual work --- KEY REQUIREMENTS - Experience with PowerPoint or Office file format automation - Ability to handle real-world, manually built presentations (not just template-based files) - Clear approach to distinguishing what can be automated from what requires human review - Clean, documented solution with error handling - Cross-platform compatibility is a plus --- DELIVERABLES - A working tool (approach and tech stack open to your proposal) - Source code with documentation - Setup and usage instructions - A test run on a couple of sample files I will provide --- In your proposal, would be better to include: - Relevant experience with document or Office automation projects - Your proposed approach and tech stack - Your estimated timeline and rate
