Diagnostics and Data Analyst
Worldwide
Role Summary Synergy International seeks a Diagnostics and Data Analyst to build the empirical foundation of a twelve-month enterprise leadership and organizational-effectiveness engagement with a large, mission-driven national organization. This role synthesizes multiple disparate data sources into one coherent, executive-ready picture of where organizational challenges concentrate and what drives them. The analyst produces the rigorous, prioritized evidence base on which the Principal performs causal interpretation and strategic framing. This is a front-loaded role, with the heaviest demand concentrated in the first ninety days of the engagement during the diagnostic phase, followed by periodic analytical support as the engagement progresses. Key Responsibilities Integrate multiple datasets with differing units of analysis, including an enterprise-wide multi-year engagement survey, leadership-program data, and additional internal organizational data, into a unified and defensible analytical picture. Manage data cleaning, missing data, and inconsistent segmentation with the rigor required for findings to withstand executive scrutiny. Conduct driver analysis to identify the factors that most strongly predict the outcomes the organization prioritizes, including engagement, retention, and leadership effectiveness. Perform segmentation analysis to locate where challenges concentrate across business unit, leadership level, function, and tenure. Execute gap analysis identifying divergence between leader self-perception and team experience. Apply multivariate methods, including regression and key-driver analysis, to distinguish correlation from the factors that genuinely drive organizational friction and outcomes. Build executive-ready data visualizations and the supporting narrative layer to Synergy brand standard, identifying the few findings that matter and presenting difficult findings with rigor that supports acceptance. Partner with the Principal and Engagement Manager to ensure the evidence base maps cleanly to the engagement's strategic framing and integration deliverables. Required Experience and Qualifications Seven or more years in organizational diagnostics, people analytics, survey research, or applied behavioral data analysis. Demonstrated fluency in multivariate analytical methods, including regression and driver analysis. Proficiency with the tooling required to execute this analysis, such as SPSS, R, Python, or advanced Excel. Proven ability to translate complex statistical analysis into executive-ready insight for senior leadership audiences. Strong data visualization and presentation-development skills. Experience integrating multiple data sources with differing structures into a single coherent picture. Demonstrated discretion handling confidential organizational and personnel data. Preferred Qualifications A graduate degree in a quantitative, behavioral, or organizational discipline (industrial-organizational psychology, applied statistics, organizational behavior, data science, or a related field). Prior experience inside or consulting to large, federated, or mission-driven organizations. Familiarity with employee-engagement survey instruments and leadership-assessment data. What Success Looks Like Success in this role is taking multiple messy, mismatched datasets and handing the Principal a defensible, prioritized, executive-ready picture of where the problems live and what is driving them, so that causal interpretation and strategic framing can proceed with confidence. Estimated Time Commitment This role is front-loaded across the twelve-month engagement. The diagnostic phase in the first ninety days carries the heaviest demand, in the range of three to four days per week. Following the diagnostic phase, the commitment moves to periodic analytical support, in the range of two to four days per month, to refresh findings and support measurement against success metrics. Engagement Standards All work products adhere to Synergy brand standards for executive deliverables. The analyst maintains strict confidentiality of all client data and produces analysis only on the data provided for this engagement.
