Digital Accountant / Bookkeeper based in Ireland for Limited Company

Role Title: Digital Accountant / Bookkeeper (Virtual) Employment Type: Part-time (Recurring) Location: Remote Country Requirement: Ireland-based candidates only Primary Responsibilities Regular VAT compliance: File VAT returns on schedule (typically bi-monthly/quarterly depending on your scheme) Corporate tax filings: Prepare and submit corporation tax returns, annual accounts, and Company House filings within statutory deadlines Payroll & PAYE: Monitor and manage PAYE obligations if applicable Payment coordination: Assist with tax payments, corporation tax settlements, and other financial obligations Transaction review: Monitor and reconcile QuickBooks entries; flag discrepancies or required actions Rental income management: If applicable, track and categorise rental receipts/expenses (Form 11 or similar) Ad-hoc support: Advise on invoice practices, expense categorisation, and quarterly planning Working Style (Critical) Screen-sharing guidance model: Will work one-on-one via video calls, walking through processes step-by-step Interactive sessions: Regular scheduled calls (weekly/bi-weekly) to review, plan, and execute submissions Real-time support: Available to answer questions and guide you through Revenue Online Service (ROS), Company House portals, etc. Documentation: Provide clear checklists and summaries after each call Required Skills & Knowledge Proficiency with Revenue Online Service (ROS) and Irish tax compliance Understanding of Irish corporation tax, VAT, and PAYE regulations Experience with QuickBooks (or quick ability to learn yours) Familiarity with Companies House annual filing requirements Comfortable with Wise and multi-currency accounting (if applicable) Strong communication: patient, clear explanations over video Optional but Valuable Experience with Irish rental property accounting Knowledge of business expense categorisation and tax-efficient practices Ability to flag tax-planning opportunities
