Digital Marketing Specalist
Worldwide
Pay: £400–£600 per month, depending on experience Employment: Part-time, with potential to increase hours based on performance Location: Philippines — Remote Business: UK-based small business About the Role I'm looking for a motivated, creative and proactive Digital Marketing Specialist in the Philippines to take ownership of the marketing for my growing UK-based small business. This isn't a role where I simply want someone to make a few social media posts each week. I want someone who can think like a marketer, take initiative and actively find ways to bring in more customers and leads. You'll work closely with me, but I want you to eventually be able to take responsibility for the day-to-day marketing without needing to be told what to do. I'm looking for someone who will look at the business, identify opportunities and take action. If you see something that could be improved, I want you to be the person who says: "I've noticed this isn't working. Here's what I think we should change, and here's how I'd test it." What You'll Do Develop and execute a monthly digital marketing strategy Manage our social media accounts and content calendar Create engaging posts, graphics and short-form video content Research our target customers and competitors Identify new opportunities to attract customers Develop marketing campaigns and promotions Help improve our website and online presence Research and test different customer acquisition methods Manage email marketing campaigns where appropriate Monitor marketing performance and identify what's working Track leads, enquiries and conversions Provide a simple weekly report showing what you've done and the results Continuously bring new marketing ideas and recommendations Test different approaches and learn from the results Take ownership of the marketing rather than waiting for instructions Who I'm Looking For I'm looking for someone who is: Proactive — you don't need to be told what to do every day Results-focused — you care about generating leads and customers, not just likes Creative — you're good at coming up with content and campaign ideas Analytical — you're comfortable looking at data and understanding what's working Organised — you can manage your own workload and deadlines A strong communicator — especially in written English Independent — you're comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision Curious — you're willing to experiment, test ideas and learn from the results Commercially minded — you understand that marketing needs to contribute to business growth Growth-focused — you're interested in helping a small business grow You don't need to know every marketing tool. I'm more interested in how you think, how proactive you are and what results you've achieved than simply how many tools you have used. Experience Previous digital marketing experience is preferred, but proven results are more important than qualifications. Please show examples of businesses, campaigns or social media accounts you've previously worked on. If you have experience with any of the following, please mention it: Facebook Instagram TikTok Canva Meta Ads Google Ads Email marketing SEO Google Analytics Google Search Console Content creation Lead generation Copywriting CRM systems Landing pages Marketing automation A/B testing What Success Looks Like The goal isn't simply to increase followers. I want you to help the business generate more enquiries, leads and customers. We'll agree on measurable goals during your first month and track progress regularly. Depending on the marketing channels we use, we may track: Qualified leads generated Number of enquiries Website traffic Conversion rates Cost per lead Social media engagement Email performance Campaign performance New customers generated Revenue generated from marketing campaigns I'm much more interested in results and improvement over time than vanity metrics. Your First 30 Days During your first month, I'd expect you to: Learn about the business, products/services and target customers Review our current marketing Analyse our website and social media presence Research competitors Identify opportunities for improvement Develop an initial marketing strategy Suggest specific campaigns and customer acquisition ideas Begin testing content and marketing channels Set up basic performance tracking Report back on what's working and what isn't Recommend what we should focus on next You won't be expected to know everything on day one. I'm looking for someone who can learn quickly, take initiative and start making a measurable difference. Working Style This role will involve working independently. I don't want to have to provide a list of tasks every morning. I'll provide the overall direction, information about the business and access to the necessary tools. Your job is to figure out what needs to be done, prioritise it and get it done. If you finish your planned tasks and notice another opportunity, I expect you to take the initiative rather than simply waiting for the next instruction. You'll have regular communication with me so we can review progress, discuss ideas and decide what to test next. Weekly Reporting Each week, you'll provide a simple report covering: What you did Content created Campaigns launched Marketing activities completed What happened Leads Enquiries Traffic Engagement Conversions Other relevant results What you learned What worked What didn't What you would change What's next Your priorities for the following week New ideas or tests you recommend The report doesn't need to be complicated. I want it to be clear, useful and focused on results. Paid Trial Period The successful candidate will start with a paid trial period. The trial is designed to see how you work in practice — not just what your CV says. I'll be looking at: How proactive you are The quality of your ideas Your communication Your ability to work independently Your ability to learn The quality of your work Your ability to identify opportunities Your focus on generating actual business results If the trial goes well, there will be an opportunity for: Increased hours Increased responsibility Increased monthly pay Long-term employment Greater ownership of the marketing function Working Hours The initial role will be part-time. I'm flexible on the exact schedule, but you'll need to be available for some overlap with UK working hours for communication and meetings. Please include your: Available hours per week Preferred working schedule Current time zone Availability for UK-time meetings If performance is strong, there is potential for increased hours and responsibility. How to Apply Please send: A short introduction about yourself Your previous digital marketing experience 2–3 examples of businesses you've marketed What you specifically did for those businesses Any measurable results you achieved The digital marketing tools you're comfortable using Your expected monthly salary Your availability and preferred working hours Your portfolio or examples of previous work Links to any relevant social media accounts, campaigns or websites you've worked on Important Please don't send a generic application simply listing your skills. I want to see what you've actually done and what results you've achieved. For example, instead of saying: "I have experience with Facebook Ads and social media marketing." Tell me: "I managed Facebook Ads for X business, spending approximately £X per month, generated X leads and reduced the cost per lead from £X to £X." Specific examples and measurable results will make your application stand out. Who This Role Is NOT For This probably isn't the right role for you if you're looking for: A job where you're given a list of tasks every day A role focused purely on posting on social media A position where success is measured mainly by followers and likes Someone else to constantly tell you what to do A role where you don't need to think about business results I'm looking for someone who wants to take ownership and grow with the business. Who This Role Is For This is a great opportunity for someone who: Wants genuine responsibility Enjoys experimenting and testing ideas Wants to develop their marketing skills Likes working independently Wants to see the direct impact of their work Is excited by the idea of helping a small business grow Wants the opportunity to increase their hours, responsibilities and pay over time I'm looking for someone who can eventually become the person responsible for driving the day-to-day digital marketing of the business.
