About the Role We are looking for an experienced **Digital Operations Coordinator & SEO Specialist** to join our growing team. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving website performance, increasing search rankings, and supporting digital marketing initiatives. This role combines WordPress management, SEO, Google Ads, digital marketing, website optimization, content management, basic server administration, customer communication, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects independently. With 16 showroom locations across Ontario, we offer one of Canada's largest selections of hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, carpet, and other premium flooring products. We're continuously improving our digital presence and are looking for someone who can help us maintain and grow our websites, online marketing, and customer experience. What You'll Do ------------------------------------ WordPress & Website Management * Manage WordPress and WooCommerce websites * Configure and maintain Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) * Install, configure and troubleshoot plugins * Create and maintain landing pages * Upload and organize products and content * Optimize images and media * Improve Core Web Vitals and page speed * Implement caching and CDN solutions * Monitor website uptime and security SEO ------------------------------------ * Perform keyword research * Technical SEO audits * On-page SEO optimization * Local SEO * Internal linking * Schema markup * XML sitemaps * Google Search Console management * Google Tag Manager implementation * Google Analytics reporting * Backlink outreach and link-building * SEO reporting and recommendations Digital Marketing ------------------------------------ * Manage Google Ads campaigns * Manage Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads * Conversion tracking * Remarketing campaigns * Lead generation optimization * Landing page optimization * CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) Website Operations ------------------------------------ * Product imports and exports * WooCommerce management * Large product catalog maintenance * Image optimization * Content publishing * Website QA and testing * Tracking code implementation * Website troubleshooting Basic Server Administration ------------------------------------ You don't need to be a server engineer, but you should be comfortable with: * DNS records * SSL certificates * Website migrations * File management * Database basics * Website backups * Email configuration * Basic hosting troubleshooting Customer & Team Support ------------------------------------ * Respond to emails and online inquiries when needed * Follow up with customers * Gather project requirements * Report technical issues * Coordinate with developers and vendors * Document processes and solutions * Create SOPs and internal documentation Required Skills ------------------------------------ We're looking for someone with strong experience in: * WordPress * WooCommerce * Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) * Technical SEO * On-page SEO * Local SEO * Google Search Console * Google Tag Manager * Google Analytics * Google Ads * Meta Ads * Core Web Vitals * Website Performance Optimization * Caching * CDN * Image Optimization * Website Security * HTML * CSS * Basic JavaScript * Basic PHP troubleshooting * DNS * SSL * Website Migration * Database basics * AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) Nice to Have ------------------------------------ Experience with any of the following is a bonus: * CRM systems * Marketing automation * HubSpot * GoHighLevel * Perfex CRM * Social media management * Reputation management * Canva * Adobe Photoshop * Figma * Git * Google Business Profile optimization Who You Are ------------------------------------ You are someone who: * Takes ownership of your work * Solves problems independently * Pays attention to detail * Communicates clearly in English * Works well without constant supervision * Learns quickly * Is organized and dependable * Thinks critically before implementing solutions * Enjoys improving websites and digital marketing performance Technical Assessment ------------------------------------ Shortlisted candidates will complete one or more practical tasks to demonstrate their skills. Examples include: * Fixing WordPress issues * Improving website speed * Troubleshooting plugin conflicts * Resolving SEO issues * Configuring ACF fields * Optimizing images * Creating landing pages * Google Ads optimization * Technical SEO audit * Product import/export tasks * General troubleshooting These assessments are designed to verify real-world experience rather than theoretical knowledge. Work Requirements ------------------------------------ This position is managed through **Upwork** and requires full compliance with Upwork's Time Tracker policies to ensure transparency, accountability, and accurate billing for both parties. - Upwork Time Tracker must be used for all hourly work. - Activity levels, screenshots, and tracked work will be monitored regularly to verify work progress, maintain accountability, and ensure accurate time reporting. - Work performed outside of the Upwork Time Tracker may not be approved for payment unless prior written approval has been provided. - During tracked hours, candidates are expected to work only on assigned project tasks. Excessive idle time or unrelated activities may result in unapproved hours. - All meetings, onboarding sessions, training, and scheduled calls must be attended with *your camera turned on*.
