Summary

We’re a Brisbane-based digital marketing agency specialising in lead generation. We’re looking for an ad designer who specialises in direct-response social ads that actually convert — not brand-pretty graphics, ads with a track record of generating leads. You’ll receive proper creative briefs (angle, hook, copy, format, brand kit) from our strategy side. Your job is to turn those briefs into scroll-stopping static ads (and potentially animated if within your skill set) for Meta (and increasingly TikTok). You are not expected to come up with the campaign strategy — but we want someone whose design decisions show they understand why DR ads work: hierarchy, hook prominence, native-feel vs polished, contrast, thumb-stopping composition. What you’ll do * Design static ad batches (feed, story/reel 9:16, 4:5) from written briefs * Produce fast variations for testing: new headlines on winning layouts, format resizes, colour/hook swaps * Push back on briefs when a design instinct says there’s a stronger way to visualise the angle * Work within client brand kits without letting “brand police” kill performance What we’re looking for * A portfolio of lead-generation / direct-response ads with performance context — tell us what the ad was for and how it performed. Pretty portfolios without results attached won’t stand out. * Speed and consistency on batches and iteration rounds * Excellent written English for async collaboration Comfort working alongside AI image tooling — we use it heavily for drafts and variations; we’re looking for the eye and finishing skill AI doesn’t have Bonus * Motion/light animation for statics (subtle movement versions) * UGC-style creative or video thumbnail experience * Landing page / funnel design sensibility
