Direct-Response Graphic Designer — Static Meta Ads
Worldwide
Needs to hire 2 designers We run paid ads for high-ticket businesses. Our creatives are the difference between a client's calendar staying empty and it filling with qualified, pre-sold calls. On Meta, the static is the first salesperson a prospect ever meets — it has half a second to earn a stop. We're hiring a designer who treats every pixel like it has a number attached to it. This is a paid test project first: 10 static ad creatives for $200 (2 concepts, 5 variations each, delivered in feed + story formats). If the work is strong and you get how direct-response ads actually function, this becomes steady, recurring work across our client roster. What you'll be designing - Static ad creatives for paid social, mostly Meta — feed, story, and reel cover formats - Iterations of proven winners — new hooks, headlines, and layouts on a control that's already converting - Concept statics from a brief: headline, visual hook, and proof stacked in a hierarchy that reads in under a second - Occasional landing page graphics and ad-adjacent assets What we need you to handle - Visual hierarchy that sells — the eye lands on the hook first, every time, no exceptions - Typography that's readable at thumbnail size on a phone in direct sunlight - Native-feeling creative — ads that look like content, not billboards. Polished-but-scrappy beats agency-glossy in the feed - Fast, clean variation work — swapping hooks, colors, and layouts without breaking the concept - Cutting the decoration — you should look at a brief and know what earns its place on the canvas and what doesn't Who this is for You understand that a static ad is a sales argument, not a portfolio piece. You know why ugly ads often outperform beautiful ones, what a visual pattern interrupt is, and why the headline is doing 80% of the work. You've designed ads that sell, not just graphics that look nice. You can read a brief and feel where the layout loses the scroller. You are fluent in English — written and spoken — because you'll be setting copy that has to hit precisely, and a widowed word or broken line kills a headline. Requirements - Strong portfolio of static ads or direct-response creative (send links — not a logo folio or brand-identity deck) - Proficient in Photoshop, Canva and/or Figma (Illustrator a plus) - You work from briefs and hit turnarounds without hand-holding - Some marketing instinct: you can spot a weak headline placement and fix the hierarchy yourself The opportunity We make our clients millions a month. The designers who become part of our pods don't get treated like vendors handed a brief and ghosted — they sit close to the strategy and the message. If you're good, the test turns into consistent volume and a long-term seat. We move fast and we hold a high bar, so this suits someone who wants both. To apply, answer these in your proposal: 1. Send 2–3 links to static ads or direct-response creative you designed. 2. What's your design stack, and what's your typical turnaround on 15 static ads?
