Direct-Response Video Editor — Long-Term, Performance-Driven (NO Agencies) I run a portfolio of DTC ecommerce brands, and our growth lives or dies on the quality of our short-form video ads. I'm looking for one editor — a real person, not a team and not an agency — to become the creative editing backbone of the brand and grow with us. I want someone who treats my brand like it's their own and actually cares whether the ads perform. What you'll be delivering: - Short-form direct-response video ads for Meta - Standard DTC talking-head / UGC / AI avatar ads - Animated ads — including Pixar-style animated creative - Hook variations and fresh iterations off winning ads - Captions, sound design, motion, pattern interrupts — the stuff that holds attention and converts Every brief will be clear, but I expect you to bring craft and ideas to it — not just assemble clips. Skills you must have: - Strong, current AI skills — this is non-negotiable. You should be confident using AI tools for creative work and know how to get the most out of them. - Animation ability, including Pixar-style animated ads, alongside normal DTC talking-head editing - A real eye for what makes a direct-response ad convert, not just look nice - Initiative with b-roll. I can supply assets, but I'd much rather you use your own knowledge to source and bring in a wider range of b-roll where it fits best. I don't want an editor who relies on me for every clip and every decision. Niche: Experience editing in the Pet/Pet Supplement Industry is preferred. If you haven't worked in the Pet Industry but you've done strong work in DTC ecommerce and you're flexible, you're still very welcome to apply. Communication: - Responsive and consistent — you reply, you give updates, you don't go quiet - Comfortable asking the right questions up front instead of guessing - You flag problems early rather than hiding them How I like to work: - One editor, long-term — I want a real working relationship, not a revolving door of freelancers - I provide voiceovers/talking heads and direction; you own the edit and the craft - You take ownership and use initiative — I trust good people and get out of their way - The right person gets trained on our systems and grows with the brand This is NOT for you if... - You're an agency or run a team - You outsource or subcontract any of the editing - You need me to hand you every asset and every decision - You go quiet for days and need chasing The deal: - Pay-per-video Basis. (This can be discussed. Range $10-$80 Per Video Depending on complexity) - Consistent, reliable volume for the right person - Performance bonuses introduced after training, once you know our systems and your edits are driving results - The better you perform, the more volume and upside you get How to apply: - Send 3–5 examples YOU personally made — short-form ad/B-Roll + Talking Head / UGC / animated edits. Your own work, not a team showreel.
