Documentary Script Writer Needed

PROJECT TITLE Documentary Screenplay Adapter / Science Documentary Script Editor PROJECT OVERVIEW I am seeking an experienced documentary writer, science communicator, or screenplay adapter to convert an original science and philosophy book into a production-ready documentary screenplay for an animated film. The book explores some of the deepest questions in modern physics and philosophy, including: • Quantum mechanics • Entanglement • Relativity • Gravity • Black holes • The expanding universe • Dark matter • Energy • Consciousness • Infinity • The search for a unified theory of reality The work then proposes a unifying conceptual framework for understanding all of these. The intended film length is approximately 30 minutes. IMPORTANT The overall structure of the film is already established. The book already contains: • The narrative progression • The chapter structure • The central thesis • The proposed unifying theory • The concluding philosophical synthesis The task is therefore NOT to reinvent the film. The task is to transform the existing material into a compelling and professionally structured documentary screenplay suitable for animation. WHAT I AM SEEKING I am looking for someone who can transform each chapter into a finished documentary segment. For each section of the film I what is required is: • Narration suitable for professional voice-over • Runtime estimates • Scene breakdowns • Visual guidance notes • Smooth transitions between concepts • Documentary-style pacing The final result should be suitable for direct use by: • Concept artists • Storyboard artists • Animators • Voice actors THE DESIRED OUTPUT Not chapter summaries. not looking for general comments on the book. I am looking for documentary screenplay segments such as: SECTION: THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE Estimated Runtime: 3 minutes VISUAL A dimensionless luminous point appears within complete darkness. The point expands outward. Space itself unfolds. Galaxies emerge. NARRATION "Modern cosmology suggests that the universe began in an extraordinarily compressed state..." Etc. In other words, the successful applicant should be able to answer: "If this chapter became three to five minutes of a finished documentary film, exactly what would the audience hear and approximately what would they see?" PHASE 1 – INITIAL PAID TEST PROJECT The first engagement will be a limited paid assignment. The retained candidate will: 1. Review the manuscript. 2. Adapt one selected chapter Part 2 Chapter 9 Concluding Reflections: Infinity Unity & Reality into a complete documentary screenplay segment. The deliverable should include: • Runtime estimate • Scene breakdown • Narration • Visual guidance notes • Documentary pacing recommendations Possible test sections include: The purpose of this stage is to determine suitability for the full screenplay adaptation. PHASE 2 – FULL DOCUMENTARY SCREENPLAY Subject to successful completion of Phase 1, the selected writer may be retained to produce the complete film screenplay.
