Summary

We are seeking a skilled freelancer to build a small documentary/timeline website for a residential construction project. The website should effectively communicate the project's progress and milestones through an interactive timeline. The ideal candidate will have experience in web development and design, with a strong understanding of creating engaging user experiences. The project is expected to be completed in less than a month. Project Overview I am looking for an experienced WordPress web designer/developer to build a simple, professional website that documents my personal experience with a residential asphalt driveway project. The website is intended to present a factual timeline supported by photographs, videos, documents, and communications. It is not intended to be an attack or "rant" website, but rather a well-organized record of events. Scope of Work Build a responsive WordPress website (Elementor, Blocksy, GeneratePress, or similar lightweight theme). Create a clean, modern design that is easy to navigate. Develop approximately 6–8 pages, including: Home Page Project Timeline Photos & Videos Gallery Documents & Communications Repair Attempts Final Outcome / My Experience Contact Page (optional) Create an easy-to-update layout so I can add new photos, videos, and text myself. Optimize for desktop and mobile viewing. Basic on-page SEO setup (titles, meta descriptions, sitemap, etc.). Configure image galleries and embedded video support. Include a simple disclaimer/footer section on all pages. Content I will provide: Written timeline and notes. 100+ photos and several videos. Contract and payment documents (with sensitive information redacted). Screenshots of text message communications. Logo or simple site title if needed. The developer will not need to create original written content beyond formatting and basic layout recommendations. Design Style I want the site to look professional, factual, and organized—more like a project case study or documentation archive than a complaint website. The design should focus on readability and presentation of evidence. Technical Requirements WordPress-based. Easy for a non-technical owner to edit and maintain. Fast-loading and SEO-friendly. Ability to embed YouTube or self-hosted videos. Photo gallery with lightbox viewing. Contact form optional. Deliverables Fully functioning website. WordPress installed and configured on my hosting account. Theme and plugins configured. Basic training/documentation on how to add new content. Transfer of full ownership upon project completion. When Applying Please provide: Examples of WordPress websites you have built. Experience creating timeline, portfolio, or case-study style websites. Estimated timeline and fixed-price quote. Recommended theme or page builder for this type of project.
