Documentary Video Editor : History Channel, Archival Stills Style (Ongoing, 2-4 videos/month)

Summary

I run a history documentary YouTube channel (business dynasties, Gilded Age fortunes, rise-and-fall stories). I need an editor for an ongoing series of 27-35 minute videos in the classic archival-stills documentary style: think Ken Burns. Slow zooms and pans over historical photographs, music bed underneath narration, chapter title cards. No talking heads, no stock video clips, no motion graphics. This is an assembly-focused edit, and I've made it as clean a job as possible. For each video you receive: Finished voiceover audio, split into chapter files (the narration is final, never edited by you) The full script with audio timestamps A folder of numbered images already matched to script paragraphs, with a shot list telling you which image goes where and for how long Pre-made title cards and graphics Music tracks with a note on which mood goes with which chapter A one-page style guide and links to 2-3 reference videos to match Your job: lay the images over the locked audio per the shot list, apply slow zoom and pan motion (zoom-in default, pans for wide shots, occasional hard cuts on dramatic lines; the style guide covers it), place the chapter cards, ride the music (quiet under narration, swell at chapter transitions, cut to silence at two or three marked moments), add the small text captions listed in the shot list, and deliver 1080p MP4. First video is ready to edit now. If it goes well this is steady ongoing work, 2-4 videos per month, same format every time, and the per-video rate rises as the channel grows. To apply, answer these three questions (applications without answers are skipped): Link one video you've edited in a stills-over-narration documentary style (or the closest you have) What editing software do you use? The word "cottage": include it in your first line so I know you read this post Process: I'll pick 2-3 applicants for a paid test edit ($20): the video's 2-minute cold open, materials provided. Best test wins the video and the ongoing slot.
