We are looking for a high-level Video Editor who breathes the "Jake Tran" aesthetic. You aren't just stitching clips together; you are a visual storyteller. Your job is to transform complex geopolitical and financial scripts into high-intensity, cinematic experiences that keep viewers hooked for 10 minutes. What we are looking for: Narrative Pacing: Mastering the ebb and flow of a story. You know when to speed up for tension and when to let a moment breathe. Motion Graphics & Assets: Expert use of paper textures, vintage overlays, aps, and kinetic typography to explain data and history. Dynamic B-Roll: Sourcing and blending archival footage, news clips, and high-quality stock footage seamlessly. Sound Design: A heavy emphasis on immersive soundscapes—whooshes, paper crinkles, ambient tension, and perfectly timed music shifts. Color Grading: Ability to maintain a moody, consistent, and "gritty" documentary look. Requirements: Strict Portfolio Rule: You must submit exactly TWO (2) video samples from your portfolio that mirror the Jake Tran style (Fast-paced documentary, motion graphics, deep storytelling). Applications without these specific samples will be ignored. Software: Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
