Dramatic female lead — isiZulu + English — isiZulu voice actor for a cinematic video game

About the project We're an independent studio making a premium, cinematic third-person action-adventure rooted in Zulu history and Southern-African folklore — a respectful, deeply-researched original story, made to a high (Hellblade-scale) quality bar. We're casting voices for a vertical-slice chapter and are looking for the right voice for one character. The role A complex, tragic woman at the emotional centre of the chapter — wronged, angry, grieving; never a cartoon villain. She carries the story's back third: a haunting presence, a confrontation, and a branching final reaction. Mostly English with isiZulu anchor lines. You're a great fit if you - Are a skilled dramatic actress, fluent isiZulu + strong English; can hold anger and grief in the same breath, and range from a disembodied dread-voice to a face-to-face confrontation. - Have a home/home-studio setup that can produce clean 48 kHz / 24-bit WAV — a quiet room, a good mic, dry (unprocessed) recordings. - Care about an authentic, dignified portrayal of Zulu culture — this is not "fantasy Africa." Pronunciation is reviewed with our cultural advisor. Absolute requirement — no AI voices. Every file must be your own recorded performance. AI / synthetic voice generation is not permitted and is grounds for non-payment (a warranty clause is in the contract). Authenticity is the heart of this project. The work - Fixed-price, one character. On shortlisting we share your character's full line list under NDA (the script is confidential until then). - Deliver clean dry WAV per line (2–3 takes) + room tone, to a simple naming spec. One pickup/revision round included. - Respectful, collaborative direction. Credit on the project. Possible ongoing work across later chapters.
