Dutch Subtitle Translator & Reviewer - Part Time/ Freelance

We are looking for a skilled Language Subtitle Translator to review and refine English-to-Dutch subtitle translations for vertical-format drama productions. This is a part-time, project-based role ideal for a detail-oriented linguist who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment. Responsibilities: -Review and quality-check English-to-Dutch subtitle translations for vertical-drama motion pictures -Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and natural-sounding in Dutch. Make edits and corrections to subtitle files as needed to meet production standards Requirements: -Full fluency in both English and Dutch (written and spoken) -Strong attention to detail and sensitivity to tone, pacing, and dialogue nuance -Excellent communication skills and ability to meet tight turnaround deadlines -Flexibility to adapt to varying project schedules Nice to Have: -Familiarity with post-production workflows -Experience working with SRT files -Prior use of Happy Scribe or similar subtitle/transcription platforms What to Expect: -Part-time, freelance engagement on a per-project basis -Approximately 4 hours of work per project -Remote-friendly role If you are passionate about storytelling, have a sharp eye for linguistic detail, and want to help bring compelling drama content to Dutch - speaking audiences, we'd love to hear from you!
