Most companies are doing AI backwards. They buy the technology first and wonder why it doesn't stick. My work flips the order: start with the people (who can actually do AI-enabled work, and how), then the processes (what work exists and what's genuinely worth automating), and only then the technology. That sequence is the throughline of everything here, and it's a point of view the market hasn't caught up to yet. It's real IP, not slideware. Two products are already defined and partly built. The first is a behavioral assessment that shows how individuals and teams actually work alongside AI — think of it as a strengths-finder for the AI era. The second is a platform that maps an entire HR function workflow by workflow, scores each one for AI-readiness, and puts a dollar figure on the time waiting to be reclaimed — frequently six figures inside a single function. Around those sits an practice, with a clear path to recurring revenue through self-serve, company deployments, and a licensed facilitator network. The hard thinking is largely done. The frameworks exist, the products are designed, the early demand is real. What's missing is the operating muscle to ship and scale it — and that's where you come in. The role This is the operating lead — the person in command who runs the company day to day. There are few things I do well: the frameworks, the writing, the relationships, the direction. More importantly, there are many things I can’t do well. The systems, the follow-through, the rhythm that turns ideas into shipped work. This is where I need the greatest support to own outright. Honest Moment: I'm better at starting than finishing, and have not had the best success at sustained . Right now the operational work competes with the creative work for my attention, and the operational work loses. That's the problem I’m hoping you can solve. I'm not looking for help with a to-do list — I'm looking for someone to take the operating side of this company and run it. What you'll do Turn ideas and priorities into projects with clear owners, deadlines, and a single source of truth. Run the weekly operating rhythm — track commitments, flag what's slipping, keep things moving. Build the operating backbone the company doesn't have yet: the systems, processes, and accountability that make work repeatable instead of heroic. Manage the contractor bench — ops, content, design, growth, engineering. You're the hub. Drive committed work to done — including holding me to my own commitments. Own the operating dashboard: pipeline, revenue, what's on track and what isn't. You might be a fit if you Have a real track record of finishing — taking messy, stalled, or ambiguous things and getting them shipped. Actually enjoy building systems and process. (I don't. You should.) Are comfortable holding people accountable — calmly, directly, without waiting to be asked. Me included. Can hold a dozen moving pieces in your head without dropping them. Manage other people's work well, not just your own. Push back when you disagree, then commit once the call is made. How we work Small, fast, remote, low on ceremony. A weekly cadence, clear ownership, and honest disagreement. You'll have real authority over operations — this is a seat with decision rights, not a support role. I'm genuinely ready to hand it over, which is the entire reason this role exists. Details Engagement: Fractional / part-time to start, scaling to full-time as revenue grows. Location: Remote. Trajectory: For the right person, a central and lasting seat in the company, with the upside that comes with it.
