ESP32/ESP-IDF Embedded Developer for HTTP(S) server and WebSocket communication

We are seeking an experienced ESP32/ESP-IDF embedded software developer to integrate an HTTP(S) server and WebSocket communication into our existing ESP32-based product, which already includes an embedded web application. The role involves implementing secure communication, enabling real-time data exchange, and ensuring that the solution is reliable and suitable for production use. This is a long-term position with ongoing development, maintenance, and technical support needs. You will work closely with our lead embedded software developer and execute assigned tasks. Scope of work: 1. Run the native ESP-IDF HTTP server. 2. Serve the entire web application to the browser. 3. Implement a robust WebSocket communication protocol between the web application and the ESP32 on both sides: the ESP32 firmware side and the web application JavaScript side. It should be fail-safe and recover automatically from connection failures. 4. Port the current REST API communication and data model to the WebSocket protocol. 5. Migrate to an HTTPS server. Please note that this is an ongoing project with its own existing architecture, which you will need to support. The web application and build system are already in place, and you will need to modify the communication logic in the JavaScript code.
