Summary

We’re looking for a highly skilled ecommerce video ad editor to join our team long-term and help us produce high-performing Meta ads for Facebook and Instagram. This is not a basic video editing role. We are looking for someone who understands how to keep viewers watching, how to make ads feel native and organic, and how to visually support a strong direct-response script without making the video feel like a traditional ad. We are building a mission-driven ecommerce brand focused on helping people and creating meaningful real-world impact. WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING You’ll mainly be editing vertical ecommerce video ads for Facebook and Instagram. Most ads are produced in 9:16 format and are usually around 1-3 minutes long. We expect around 5-12 finished ads per week, depending on complexity and length. The videos should feel native, organic, and natural to the platform. We do not want overproduced “commercial-looking” videos. The direct-response element will mostly come from the script, but your job is to make sure the visuals, pacing, b-roll, captions, cuts, and overall flow support the script as strongly as possible. You should be able to take a reference video and replicate the style closely from the start. WHAT WE'LL PROVIDE We will usually provide: * Scripts / briefs * Raw UGC footage * Product footage * B-roll library * Brand assets * Examples of past winning ads once you are hired * Clear instructions and feedback * Loom walkthroughs when needed In some cases, you may need to source or generate additional b-roll if the concept requires it. AI experience is a bonus, especially for creating extra visuals, UGC-style assets, animations, b-roll, or graphics. It is not a strict requirement. If you have strong editing foundations but limited AI experience, we can train you on the AI side. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-haves: * Strong portfolio of ecommerce / social media video ads * Ability to produce native-feeling videos that do not look like traditional ads * Excellent sense of pacing and storytelling * Ability to spot engaging content and choose the right moments from raw footage * Ability to visually support a script without needing every detail explained * Ability to replicate reference ad styles accurately * Fast and reliable turnaround * Strong attention to detail * Proactive mindset * Willingness to complete a paid trial task Nice-to-haves: * Experience editing winning ecommerce ads * Understanding of direct response, hooks, retention, pattern interrupts, payoff, and viewer psychology * Ability to suggest creative improvements or produce new ideas * AI content generation experience * Interest in potentially growing into a creative strategist role in the future WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT This is not a role for someone who only edits YouTube videos, podcasts, basic reels, or polished brand videos. We are not looking for someone who only follows templates. We need someone who can understand the purpose of the ad, adapt to different editing styles, and make videos that hold attention and feel organic. WORKLOAD & WORKING STYLE This is intended to be a long-term, full-time role. We do not micromanage. If the work is done well and delivered on time, we do not care how you structure your day. We care about output, quality, speed, and reliability. Most work will be delivered in weekly batches. We’ll provide the briefs and assets, and you’ll complete the batch within the agreed timeline. You do not need to work in our time zone, although some overlap is a plus (CET time zone). PAY Budget: $2,500–$4,000/month base depending on skill level, speed, reliability, and quality. We are also open to performance bonuses for the right person. These can include bonuses ($X reward, % of ad spend, ...) for winning ads, ads that reach certain spend levels, or other performance-based incentives. This can be discussed if you prove yourself. HIRING PROCESS 1. We review your portfolio. 2. If your work looks strong, we send you a paid trial task. The trial task will be editing around 30 seconds of a longer video. We will provide the script, most of the footage, brand page, instructions, and a Loom walkthrough. Some additional sourcing or AI generation may be needed, but if you do not have AI experience, we can provide those assets as well. 3. We schedule a call to speak to you in person and see that we're a good fit. 4. We make the final hiring decision based mainly on portfolio quality, trial task quality, speed, and communication.
