Editor & Fact-Checker for Health/Wellness Product Review Site (Ongoing)
Worldwide
We publish in-depth reviews and guides on recovery and wellness technology — sleep, stress, pain, and recovery devices. Our articles are drafted and need an experienced editor to fact-check, polish, and ensure they give readers accurate, trustworthy information before publishing. This is ongoing work for the right person, starting at 7 articles per week. What you'll do: * Fact-check every factual claim: product specs, prices, features, warranty terms, and any research or statistics cited. Verify each against the manufacturer's official page or the cited source, and flag anything that can't be confirmed. * Confirm all product prices are current as of the edit date and note any discrepancies. * Check that any health or scientific claims are accurate, appropriately caveated, and not overstated — this is health-adjacent content and accuracy matters. * Verify that cited studies actually exist and say what the article claims they say. * Edit for clarity, flow, grammar, and tone (calm, plain-English, evidence-led — think Wirecutter or SafeWise, not hype). * Ensure the article delivers genuine value and reads naturally, with short paragraphs and logical structure. * Check internal consistency: does the verdict match the ratings, do the pros and cons match the body, and so on. * Leave the affiliate-link and price placeholders intact for our publishing team — note the confirmed price in a comment rather than formatting it. * Deliver edits using Google Docs Suggesting mode / tracked changes, with comments explaining any factual corrections. You must have: * Proven editing and fact-checking experience, ideally for review, health, or consumer content. Native or near-native English. * Rigor about accuracy — you enjoy catching errors and chasing down sources. * Familiarity with reading manufacturer spec pages and scientific abstracts. Nice to have: * Background or interest in health, fitness, wellness, or consumer tech. * Experience editing affiliate or SEO content while keeping it honest and reader-first. To apply, please answer these questions: * Share 1–2 examples of review or health content you've edited or fact-checked. * How would you fact-check a claim that a device "improves HRV by 20% in 4 weeks"? Walk me through your steps. * What's your rate per article for a 1,500–3000 word review, and how many could you handle per week? Details: Per-article rate, starting 7 articles per week. Long-term for the right fit. We provide a full style guide and fact-checking checklist.
