Editor for Clean Verbatim Audio Transcripts (Word Docs)

Hi, I'm looking for an editor to clean up text transcripts of interview conversations. I interview people in the entertainment industry via Zoom. I get the raw files .vtt timestamped files are converted into Microsoft Word documents, where the timestamps are stripped away and it looks like a regular interview text. Your job will be to take these raw Word documents and edit them into highly readable, clean verbatim text. What WE WANT (Clean Verbatim): Remove filler words: Delete excessive "you know," "like," "so," "uh/um," "right," and similar verbal crutches. Fix stutters and false starts: Clean up repeated words (e.g., "I, I went to...") or broken thoughts that add no value to the sentence. Correct glaring typos: Fix obvious automated transcription errors where the AI misheard a word, using context clues to determine the right spelling. Maintain strict accuracy: The final text must flow well and be highly scannable, but it must remain exactly what the speaker said. What WE DO NOT WANT (No Rewriting): Do NOT paraphrase: Do not summarize or change the structure of a sentence to make it sound "better" or more formal. Do NOT add or invent words: Do not insert words that the speaker didn't use. Do NOT change the speaker’s natural voice: If a speaker uses specific phrasing or industry slang, keep it. We want a clean version of their voice, not a rewritten essay. Requirements: Native or flawless English fluency. Strong experience with copyediting, proofreading, or transcript cleaning. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict editing guidelines. Reliable turnaround times.
