Editor for AI Creator (Rough Cut + Screen Demos): Descript, Screen Studio, CapCut | Long-Term

Looking for a video editor with good taste to cut raw videos and add screen recording overlays. 💡 About the work I make AI education reels on Instagram (80k followers across channels; main account @cindiezhu). I film talking-head videos and need a precise rough-cut editor who prepares each video for my two finishing editors. You are stage one of the edit: the script cut and the screen demonstrations. Your job is judgment: picking the takes with the best delivery, and making short screen demos that are instantly clear. It takes about 1 hour to do one video. Everything runs on three tools, and proficiency (or proven fast learning) in all three is essential: Descript, Screen Studio, and CapCut. If you live for motion graphics and sound design, this role will frustrate you; if you love clean, invisible editing decisions and testing AI tools, it's perfect. 💡 What you'll do (per video) Script cut in Descript. When I film, I say "good cut" after every take I'm happy with: the sentence before "good cut" is a keeper. Often there are several good takes of the same line. Your job: cut out the bad takes, then choose the good take with the best emphasis. If you genuinely can't decide between two good takes, leave both in and flag it; I'll pick during review. Share the Descript link for review. Don't export yet. Send me the project link, I review the cut right in Descript. Once I approve, export the clean cut and move to screen demos. This review step applies to your first few batches; once you're consistently good, you'll run without review. Understand the video. Know what AI tool or workflow it teaches before you build demos. If something isn't clear, just ask; I'll send you links and context. You'll genuinely learn these tools as you go. Record screen demos in Screen Studio following the script's demo cues. Screen Studio's interface is friendly and powerful: automatic zooms, manually selecting which area of the screen to focus on, smooth cursor movement. I need you familiar with it (or fluent within your first batch), and I'm happy to pay for your Screen Studio access. Edit each demo for emphasis and clarity, on a 9:16 canvas. Demos can be recorded while your cut is in review, so you're never blocked. Assemble in CapCut. Bring the approved cut and your screen recordings together, placed at the right script moments, visually appealing, flowing, and easy to understand. Then upload the draft to our CapCut Teams folder, where my two finishing editors add the personality layer. 💡 What you won't do No need to add titles, captions, sound effects, memes, color grading -- all that will be done in stage 2, where my finishing editors handle all of that.
