Summary

Quick context: I’m building Solevaire, a luxury golf shoe care brand launching Holiday 2026. Every order ships free with a magazine — Vol. 01 of “Fresh Air” — and a new volume drops every year after that. Think Sports Illustrated meets The Golfer’s Journal meets Cereal Magazine. This post is for Vol. 01. If we work well together, you’re the natural choice for Vol. 02 and beyond — same template, mostly new copy and photos each year. ──────────────── PAGE-BY-PAGE OUTLINE (16 pages) ──────────────── 1. COVER — Masthead, hero image placeholder, four headline teases, volume marker. 2. TABLE OF CONTENTS + FOUNDER’S LETTER — Inside cover. TOC on the right, short letter from me on the left. 3. THE MASTERS — Feature on Rory McIlroy’s back-to-back at Augusta. Drop cap, two-column body, pull quote, 4-stat band at the bottom. 4. PGA CHAMPIONSHIP — Feature on Aaron Rai’s win at Aronimink. Same article template as the Masters page. 5. U.S. OPEN — Feature on Wyndham Clark wire-to-wire at Shinnecock. Dark/black page treatment. 6. THE OPEN PREVIEW — Preview article on Royal Birkdale (the only major still to come). Cream page treatment, sidebar callout. 7. FEDEX CUP STANDINGS — Full-page leaderboard table (top 20) with a sidebar explaining the cut lines that matter. 8. LIV GOLF BREAKING NEWS — Feature on the Saudi PIF exit announcement. Dark page, two-column with a “What It Means for the Players” sidebar. 9. KORN FERRY TOP 10 — Two-column ranked list of the 10 rising prospects, with a “How the Pipeline Works” sidebar. 10. TGL SEASON 2 — Recap article + a two-column ranked list of top 10 teams and moments. 11. TOP 5 YOUTUBE GOLF CREATORS — Five vertical photo cards across the page, plus a founder’s-note callout and honorable mentions. 12. THE SERGIO FILES (CARTOONS) — Six-panel cartoon section. Detailed illustrator briefs already written for each panel; you’ll lay out the grid and captions. 13. BRAND SPOTLIGHT #1 — Full-page partner feature. Reserved — design the template (logo block, hero image area, headline, body copy area, partner footer/URL). Partner content drops in later. 14. BRAND SPOTLIGHT #2 — Same as above, second partner. Same template, different content area. 15. SOLEVAIRE BRAND PAGE — Hero banner, mission quote, two columns (Who We Are / What We Believe), six product photo placeholders, founders block, launch info. 16. BACK COVER — Thank-you sign-off, quote, Vol. 02 teaser. ──────────────── WHAT’S READY FOR YOU ──────────────── • All editorial copy finalized (~12,000 words) • Working HTML draft for structure reference • Color palette locked: cream, bone, deep green (#1f3a2b), antique gold (#b08a3e), rust accent (#8a3a2a) • Type direction: Playfair Display (display), Inter (body), Bebas Neue (kicker/UI), Cormorant Garamond (pull quotes) • Photo placeholders and cartoon illustrator briefs marked throughout ──────────────── WHAT YOU’LL DELIVER ──────────────── • 16 InDesign pages, print-ready at 8.5 × 11” • Final PDF • Source files I own (.indd + linked assets + font list) • Brand Spotlight pages built as reusable templates so I can drop in partner content myself • Bonus: full magazine built as a reusable template so Vol. 02 starts at 70%, not 0% ──────────────── AESTHETIC ──────────────── Sports Illustrated meets The Golfer’s Journal meets Cereal Magazine. Editorial, not corporate. Confident, not loud. Real editorial typography — the kerning, hanging punctuation, and optical sizing details that HTML can’t do. Wen want this to be Collectible caliber. ──────────────── BUDGET & TIMELINE ──────────────── $500 fixed for Vol. 01. Tight, I know — I’m being upfront because the copy, structure, palette, and direction are already done. The real value is the relationship: this is the first of many. 2–3 weeks from project start. ──────────────── TO APPLY ──────────────── Include the word “fresh” in your proposal, and link 1–2 prior editorial layouts — actual printed magazine pages, not brand decks or social templates. Golf knowledge is a plus, not required. Looking forward to seeing your work. — Jordan, Founder, Solevaire
