Editorial Graphic/Information Designer for Nonfiction Book Diagrams + Concept Mark

We’re seeking an experienced editorial graphic designer/information designer for a nonfiction book, "The Speed Window," launching July 15, 2026. The visual style should feel clean, editorial, publication-focused, and typographically polished, similar to Atomic Habits, Range, or Harvard Business Review-style information design. This role focuses on conceptual mark design and interior editorial diagrams for the book. Scope: Primary deliverable (hard deadline: June 4, 2026) A conceptual vector mark called The Three Windows for book cover and marketing use. Concept: Three ascending vertical window panes representing developmental stages, each divided into four panes, using a single gold tone (#97751F) with three opacity variations to show progression. Required deliverables: - editable AI or SVG source - color PNG - grayscale PNG - transparent background - small digital export sizes Secondary deliverables (due June 23, 2026) Five grayscale interior diagrams for print: - developmental timeline - trainability curve chart - male/female comparative timeline - warm-up process flow diagram - load vs readiness chart Requirements: - flat vector design only - strong editorial/publication design sensibility - infographic design experience preferred - print-ready deliverables - no textures, decorative effects, gradients, 3D rendering, human figures, or sports imagery - one revision round included Preferred skills: - editorial/publication design - infographic/information design - Adobe Illustrator - print production Budget: fixed-price project (target budget: $750) for the full package (Three Windows mark + five interior diagrams).
