Editorial brand logo + favicon for a French artisan stairlift Workshop
Worldwide
======================================================================== THE JOB ======================================================================== We run Atelier Monte-Escalier, a French company that supplies and installs stairlifts (monte-escaliers) for elderly people at home. We are NOT a national lead-generation platform or a comparison site — we present ourselves as a trusted LOCAL workshop ("atelier") with real craftsmen. That distinction is the heart of the brand and must come through in the design. Our audience is French homeowners aged roughly 60–85 and their adult children. They value reassurance, warmth, craftsmanship and honesty — not tech gloss. We need two things, delivered as clean, production-ready vector assets: 1) A HORIZONTAL LOGO (primary lockup: symbol/mark + wordmark) 2) A FAVICON / APP ICON (the symbol alone, legible down to 16×16 px) Both must feel like they belong to the same family and work on our existing website (see palette below). ======================================================================== BRAND DIRECTION (please read — this is the whole brief) ======================================================================== FEEL / MOOD: - Editorial, artisanal, "atelier paper" — think a fine French stationery or a heritage craftsman's mark, not a startup. - Warm, human, timeless, trustworthy, calm. Elegant but unpretentious. - Should reassure an 80-year-old and their family at a glance. TYPOGRAPHY (wordmark): - Elegant SERIF for "Atelier Monte-Escalier" (our display face is "Libre Caslon Display"; a Caslon/Didone/old-style serif is the right lane). - Consider a small-caps or refined mixed-case treatment. Generous letter-spacing. - Optional tiny supporting line in a clean humanist sans (we use "Mulish"): e.g. a tagline slot or ".fr" — keep it quiet and secondary. THE SYMBOL / MARK: - Should hint at the product WITHOUT being a literal clip-art stairlift. Good directions to explore: an ascending staircase abstracted into a clean glyph; a gently curved rail line; an "A"/"AME"/"ME" monogram that also reads as steps; an artisan's stamp / seal. Subtle, confident, one idea done well. - Must read instantly at favicon size (16–32 px): simple, high-contrast, no fine detail that collapses when tiny. COLOR PALETTE (match our site exactly): - Terracotta (primary): #A8412A - Cream paper (bg): #FAF4E5 - Charcoal ink (text): #211A14 - Warm ochre/gold accent: #C9A96E (use sparingly) - The mark should work in: (a) full color, (b) single-color terracotta, (c) solid charcoal, and (d) reversed/knockout on a dark or terracotta ground. HARD "DO NOT": - No generic tech/SaaS look, no bright blue gradients, no glossy 3D, no bevels or drop shadows, no swooshes-for-the-sake-of-it. - No literal cartoon elderly person, no medical/clinical vibe, no stock "wheelchair" iconography. - No tilted/rotated compositions. No AI-render texture. Clean flat vector only. ======================================================================== DELIVERABLES ======================================================================== - Primary horizontal logo (mark + wordmark) - Stacked/secondary lockup (optional but appreciated) - Standalone symbol/mark - Favicon package: SVG + PNG at 16, 32, 48, 180 (Apple touch), 512 px - Monochrome (1-color) and reversed/knockout versions - Source files: layered .AI or .SVG, plus exported PNG/SVG - A one-page usage sheet: clear space, min size, color values, don'ts - Full commercial rights / ownership transfer of the final assets ======================================================================== PROCESS & LOGISTICS ======================================================================== - Round 1: 3–4 distinct concept directions (mark + wordmark). - Round 2: refine the chosen direction, up to 2 revision rounds. - Final: full deliverable package as listed above. Budget: [BUDGET — e.g. fixed $250–$600, or your quote] Timeline: [DEADLINE — e.g. first concepts within 5–7 days] ======================================================================== TO APPLY (please answer, or I skip the proposal) ======================================================================== 1) Share 2–3 portfolio pieces that show editorial/heritage/serif brand work (not tech logos). A wordmark + icon system is ideal. 2) In ONE sentence: how would you make a stairlift brand feel like a warm local atelier rather than a medical supplier? 3) Confirm you deliver layered vector source files + full ownership. 4) Your fixed price and timeline for the scope above. Please start your proposal with the word "ATELIER" so I know you read the brief. ======================================================================== h***s://atelier-monte-escalier.fr/auvergne-rhone-alpes/ain/amberieu-en-bugey-01004/
