Summary

We are looking for a specialist to analyse a permanent-magnet assembly moving axially inside a conductive copper tube. The CAD geometry and the necessary technical data will be provided to shortlisted candidates. Required Work The study must include: -3D magnetostatic analysis. -3D transient electromagnetic analysis with axial motion. -Calculation of the eddy currents induced in the copper tube. -Calculation of the resulting axial damping force. -Comparison of two magnet-polarity configurations: NNNNNN and NSNSNS. -Evaluation of the damping force over a 134 mm stroke. -Force-versus-velocity and force-versus-position curves. -Calculation of power losses and energy dissipated in the copper tube. -The operating conditions include reference peak velocities of 6.5 m/s and 7.7 m/s. These must not be treated as constant velocities throughout the entire stroke. The candidate must explain how the velocity variation and deceleration will be modelled. Essential Requirement: We are not looking only for images, animations, or coloured contour plots. The following must be provided: -Numerical results with clearly stated units. F(v) and F(x) curves. -Data exported in CSV or Excel format. -Documented assumptions, material properties, and boundary conditions. -Mesh and convergence information. Complete, editable native simulation files. Information Required in the Proposal Please provide: -Experience in 3D electromagnetic simulation. -Experience with permanent magnets, eddy currents, and moving electromagnetic systems. -The software and version you intend to use. -The proposed method for modelling the motion. -Verifiable examples of similar work. Included deliverables. -Estimated completion time. -Fixed price for the work. -Confirmation that all native simulation files will be delivered. ****All files and results will remain confidential and may not be published, shared, or used in a portfolio.
