Electromechanical CAD Designer
Worldwide
We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer with a strong electromechanical and automotive product development background to support the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and vehicle systems. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who can independently perform CAD studies, evaluate design trade-offs, develop detailed 3D models and assemblies, and produce production-ready engineering drawings and electrical schematics while managing multiple projects simultaneously. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs meet performance, packaging, manufacturability, cost, and reliability requirements. Experience designing components for automotive or commercial vehicle applications, including familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), GD&T, and engineering change/revision processes, is highly valued. The successful candidate will contribute throughout the product development lifecycle—from concept and prototype through validation and production release—delivering high-quality documentation that supports efficient manufacturing and vehicle integration. Responsibilities Perform CAD studies and design trade-off evaluations for new product development and design improvements. Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for mechanical and electromechanical components and systems. Create and maintain production-quality engineering drawings, including GD&T, tolerancing, and annotations. Generate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and wiring harness documentation. Assign and manage part numbers within CAD/PDM systems. Support products throughout the design lifecycle, from concept through engineering release. Participate in design reviews and maintain revision control. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional CAD design experience. Proven experience performing CAD studies, creating 3D models, and producing engineering drawings and electrical schematics. Strong electromechanical design background, including both mechanical and electrical systems. Proficiency with Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE. Proficiency with Zuken (E3.series and/or CR-8000) and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, GD&T, and tolerancing. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
