Electromechanical Engineer, Custom 7-Way Connector Insert with Crown Springs

Summary

Looking for an engineer with experience in electrical contact connections to help develop a custom 7-way plug insert, SAE J560 interface, preferably someone with injection molding experience to create the housing for the pins. The front contacts of the 7-way (which mates with many different brands of SAE J560 sockets in the field) need to be reliable with longevity. The method of contacts I'm pursuing is crown springs/lamella bands, often used in EV charging systems. You must have experience in this category, providing documents of projects using pin contacts. The custom insert goes into a housing that has an internal wiring harness. Those wires will be terminated with connectors that connect to the rear of the custom insert. This is to allow quick disconnection from the custom insert for easy replacing or servicing. Automotive bullet connectors is direction I'm heading towards, though banana style connections could be a viable option if it has sufficient retention capabilities because this device could be dropped occasionally in the field. Repetitive cycling is not a concern because once the unit is assembled there's practically no regular cycling of the connectors. They only get disconnected if the custom insert is damaged or worn and needs replacing. For those who have injection molding experience, I am open with different manufacturing options for mating the two components together(plastic housing and contacts). This is time sensitive, I need it for unit production within the next few months and faster is better. I look forward to joining a zoom call to further discuss the project. Thanks.
