Electron/Node.js Developer: Risk Engine "Finisher"
Worldwide
I am looking for an experienced developer to act as a "finisher" on a proprietary trading risk management project. The core architecture, API bridge, and UI dashboard are already built and fully functional. I am not looking for an architectural overhaul or research—I need a capable developer to perform a final code audit and execute three clearly defined tasks. Project Context: Existing Codebase: The project is a custom Electron application (Node.js backend/Electron frontend). All source code, including the landing page design, assets, and UI logic, is ready in a private GitHub repository. Status: The core Tradovate API integration is built, but the OAuth credentials will need to be re-initialized by you in a new Tradovate developer account. The Goal: Move the project to a "production-ready" state by completing the following three tasks. Specific Deliverables: Landing Page Deployment: The website is complete and hosted on GitHub; it simply needs to be correctly configured and deployed as a standalone site on Netlify. I will provide you with access to the Netlify account; you just need to handle the deployment and resolve any pathing/build configuration issues. "Watchdog" Logic: Implement the flattenAll() function within src/engine/tradovate-rest.js. This must correctly filter for the active account, cancel all working orders, and liquidate all non-zero positions. Persistence Lock: Implement a system-level persistence lock in src/engine/engine.js that ensures the trading engine remains dormant until a daily reset, surviving application restarts. Requirements: Strong proficiency in Node.js, Electron, and Git. Experience with Netlify deployment configurations, specifically handling nested directory structures. Experience with REST API integrations (specifically handling OAuth 2.0 flows). Ability to work with a pre-existing, custom codebase. Comfortable with a Fixed-Price engagement of $300 USD. Why apply? The "heavy lifting" (API bridging, engine architecture, and UI design) is already done. This is a clean, focused task for a developer who wants to come in, complete well-defined requirements, and finish the job. To Apply: Please briefly describe your experience with Electron and Node.js. If you have worked with financial APIs or trading platforms before, please mention it. I will provide access to the private GitHub repository to the successful candidate.
