Elite Colorist — Prestige Crime Drama Trailer (2 min)

Summary

I'm looking for a world-class colorist to grade the launch trailer for a prestige series, a football story that turns into a crime epic. The bar is Hollywood: a grade with intent and emotion, the kind of look that plays before A24 and HBO premieres. Not a filter, not a LUT dropped on top, but a built look that carries mood and tells the audience how to feel. The palette is filmic: golden hour warmth, deep contrast, controlled blacks, rich but restrained color. Consistent and cinematic across every single shot. I want the grade to feel like one world, photographed by one eye. The real challenge of this job is unification. The footage comes from multiple sources and has to be matched shot to shot into one cohesive filmic look, so nothing reads like it came from somewhere else. On top of the grade, I want a final film grain pass laid over the whole piece for texture and consistency. The grain is part of the look and part of the deliverable, not an optional extra. If you can take mismatched shots and make them feel like a single film, that's the job. You will be working on the locked, finished picture. A separate editor handles the cut and sound, so your focus is purely the image. I'll provide the locked timeline and the highest-quality source available. DaVinci Resolve preferred. Deliverable is the graded and grained master plus your project file. To apply, send me a reel of grades you have personally done, ideally narrative or cinematic work where you unified or matched footage from different sources. Tell me in two or three sentences how you approach building one consistent look across shots that don't match out of the box. I work in stages. We'll start with a paid first section, one short segment of the trailer graded and grained, so I can see your look before committing to the full two minutes. If it lands, the rest follows immediately, and there's a series behind it for the right person. NDA required before any footage is shared.
