# Email Deliverability Expert (Amazon SES, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, Domain Warm-up) ## About Us We are an established e-commerce company with an existing customer email list. We use our own email platform built on Amazon SES to send marketing emails to our customers. We are looking for an experienced Email Deliverability Specialist to help us set up a new sending subdomain, establish a strong sender reputation, and successfully scale to **10,000 emails per day** while maintaining excellent inbox placement. This is not an email copywriting or marketing role. We are looking for someone with deep technical knowledge of email infrastructure and deliverability. ## Project Goals The primary objective is to build a healthy sending reputation for a new subdomain and successfully increase sending volume to approximately **10,000 emails per day** while maximizing inbox placement at Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and Apple Mail. ## Current Environment * Amazon SES for sending emails * Our own custom email sending platform * Existing customer mailing list (permission-based) * We control our DNS records * We can make DNS changes as needed ## Responsibilities ### Phase 1 – Technical Setup * Recommend the best subdomain structure for email marketing (e.g. mail.domain.com, news.domain.com, etc.) * Configure and verify: * SPF * DKIM * DMARC * Review DNS configuration * Configure custom tracking domains if recommended * Verify email authentication and alignment * Ensure the domain is fully prepared before sending begins ### Phase 2 – Warm-up Strategy Develop a detailed warm-up plan including: * Initial sending volumes * Daily/weekly volume increases * Audience segmentation * Engagement-based sending strategy * Best practices for building sender reputation * Recommendations for Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Apple Mail The strategy should minimize spam folder placement while increasing volume safely. ### Phase 3 – Deliverability Monitoring During the warm-up period: * Monitor inbox placement * Monitor sender reputation * Monitor bounce rates * Monitor complaint rates * Monitor spam folder placement * Review authentication results * Recommend adjustments based on deliverability metrics * Identify and troubleshoot any deliverability issues ### Phase 4 – Scaling Help us gradually increase sending volume until we consistently reach: **Target: 10,000 emails/day** while maintaining strong inbox placement and sender reputation. ## Required Skills Please apply only if you have proven experience with: * Amazon SES * Email deliverability * SPF * DKIM * DMARC * DNS configuration * Domain reputation * Subdomain strategy * Email authentication * Gmail Postmaster Tools * Microsoft SNDS * Google, Outlook, Yahoo deliverability * Email warm-up strategies Experience with custom email platforms is preferred. ## Nice to Have Experience with: * Amazon SES dedicated IPs * Postmaster monitoring * DMARC reporting tools * GlockApps * Mail Tester * MXToolbox * Google Workspace * AWS Route 53 (or other DNS providers) ## Deliverables By the end of the project we expect: * Fully configured sending subdomain * SPF/DKIM/DMARC properly configured * Verified email authentication * Written warm-up plan * Ongoing deliverability monitoring * Recommendations whenever adjustments are needed * Successful scaling to approximately 10,000 emails/day ## To Apply Please include the following: 1.
