Email Designer & Email Marketer

We're looking for a talented email designer and marketer to create a single email campaign as a paid trial project. The successful candidate may become our long-term email marketing partner for ongoing campaigns. About Us Boca Bargoons is a fabric and home décor company that has served South Florida customers for more than 35 years. We operate multiple locations and have built a loyal customer base over several decades. Our Hallandale location has recently closed, and we would like to send a heartfelt thank-you email to our customers. This project will serve as both a real campaign and an evaluation of your ability to create future email campaigns for our company. What We Need Create a complete email campaign announcing and acknowledging the closure of our Hallandale location while expressing gratitude to customers who supported the store throughout the years. The email should feel genuine, professional, visually appealing, and emotionally engaging. This is not a project where every detail will be provided to you. We are specifically looking for someone who can take broad direction and independently create a polished final product. You will be expected to: • Research our company and brand • Review our website and existing marketing materials • Review examples of previous emails we provide • Develop the email concept • Write the copy • Design the layout • Select and edit images • Create additional visual assets if necessary • Utilize AI tools when appropriate • Deliver a finished email that is ready for deployment Resources We Will Provide • Access to our website • Company information • A folder of photos and marketing assets • Examples of previous emails we have liked • Basic direction regarding the campaign objective What We Are Evaluating We're looking for someone who can operate with a high level of independence. We do not want to provide every headline, every image, every paragraph, and every design decision. Instead, we want someone who can take a business objective and create a complete, thoughtful campaign from start to finish. We will evaluate: • Copywriting ability • Design quality • Marketing judgment • Creativity • Ability to tell a story • Understanding of customer psychology • Attention to detail • Ability to work independently Technical Requirements • Final email must be delivered as a ZIP package • Total package size must be under 3 MB • Compatible with standard email marketing platforms • Mobile-friendly design required • Images should be optimized for email delivery To Apply Please provide: Examples of email campaigns you personally created A brief explanation of your process when given a project with only broad direction Important This is a paid trial project. The candidate selected for this project may be offered ongoing email marketing work creating campaigns for multiple locations and brands throughout the year.
