Email Marketing & Sales Funnel Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Email Funnel & Customer Journey Strategist to help us audit, tighten, and optimize our lead-to-sale pathways for a personal growth/coaching brand. We currently have multiple entry points into the business, including paid workshops, free visualizations, YouTube content, email funnels, membership offers, and course offers. As we continue increasing ad spend and bringing in more leads, we want to make sure people who show interest are being followed up with properly and guided to the right next step. This role is ideal for someone who understands online coaching businesses, customer journeys, email marketing, sales psychology, and funnel optimization. Responsibilities: 1. Audit existing email funnels and customer journeys. 2. Identify where leads are dropping off or not being followed up with. 3. Create or improve abandoned cart sequences. 4. Create follow-up sequences for people who click sales links but do not purchase. 5. Review and improve current nurture sequences, including freebie funnels. 6. Make recommendations for how different funnels should work together. 7. Write conversion-focused email copy that still feels aligned, human, and brand-sensitive. 8. Create reactivation sequences for canceled members or inactive leads. 9. Help map the customer journey across freebies, workshops, memberships, and courses. 10. Recommend automation improvements so leads receive the right message at the right time. Experience needed: - Strong email copywriting skills. - Experience with coaching, personal development, course, or membership businesses. - Understanding of customer journeys and sales psychology. - Experience building nurture, launch, abandoned cart, and reactivation sequences. - Ability to look at the full funnel, not just write individual emails. - Experience with platforms like ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, Kajabi, ThriveCart, or similar is a plus. Prior experience: (VERY IMPORTANT) - Tell us about one email funnel you improved. What was the problem, what did you change, and what was the result? - Have you worked with coaching, course, membership, or personal development brands before? Please share examples. - Describe how you would follow up with someone who clicked a workshop sales page link but did not purchase. - Describe how you would build a reactivation sequence for canceled membership members. - What funnel metrics do you usually look at before deciding what needs to be improved? - Please share one sample email, funnel map, or case study that shows your thinking. - Please share HOW you were able to create a direct ROI with email marketing? Project scope: This will likely be a 90-day contract to audit and optimize our current funnels. There may be future work depending on performance and ongoing needs.
