Email Marketing Specialist

We are a fast-growing marketing agency managing a diverse portfolio of initiatives across operations, marketing, and client-facing projects. With a high volume of work moving in parallel, strong systems, communication, and execution are critical to our success. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Email Marketing & Retention Specialist to lead our lifecycle marketing efforts. This role is responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling email and retention programs that drive customer engagement, improve lifetime value (LTV), and increase repeat conversions across the customer journey. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage email marketing and retention strategies including onboarding, nurturing, re-engagement, and win-back campaigns Plan, create, and execute automated flows and broadcast campaigns (welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, upsell, and loyalty sequences) Segment audiences based on behavior, lifecycle stage, and engagement to improve personalization and performance Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including open rates, CTR, conversion rate, churn, and LTV Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, send times, and personalization strategies Collaborate with paid media, CRO, and creative teams to align messaging across channels and funnels Maintain email list health, deliverability, and compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and platform policies Build performance reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of experience in Email Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, or Retention Marketing, ideally within a fast-paced marketing agency. Proven track record of managing and scaling individual accounts generating an average of $250K+ in monthly revenue. Hands-on experience with Klaviyo, HubSpot, or ActiveCampaign at scale. Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, segmentation, and personalization strategies Data-driven mindset with experience in A/B testing and performance optimization Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email templates is a plus Strong communication and project management skills Preferred Tools & Platforms Klaviyo / HubSpot / ActiveCampaign / Mailchimp Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) or CRMs Google Analytics / GA4 Looker Studio / Reporting Dashboards Asana / ClickUp / Slack What Success Looks Like in This Role Increased email-driven revenue and customer lifetime value (LTV) Improved engagement, retention, and repeat purchase rates High-performing automated flows that scale without manual intervention Clear reporting and strategic insights that guide growth decisions This is a Full-Time, Remote, Long-Term Contract role, requiring 40 hours per week. 8-hour shift (Eastern Time): 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET.
