Email server improvement and administration

A contractor off Upwork previously set up a mail server running Postfix, Dovecot and rspamd on an Ubuntu server in a DreamCompute cloud environment. He is no longer available. I don't want that server altered, for now, but we should capture the configuration and replicate in another DreamCompute instance. Then we want to improve the functionality of the new email server. Immediate needs _____________ ***Pull some statistics from current server, if available and confirm configuration of current server*** For the new server Configure for new domain(s) and email addresses Open for outgoing email (the current version is in receive only mode) Configure spam filtering and white listing specific domains Remove permanent archiving process Create a process for administration (add email addresses, add domains, etc.) Create runbook for how to manage server Lock down server Statistical reporting dashboard - create a log and reporting dashboard, how many incoming connections were dropped as probably spam, how many emails were quarantined, deleted, flagged as probably spam, whitelisted, etc. We should be able to specify date ranges for reporting. Mid-term needs _________________________ Automated UCE reports: currently when a client reports unsolicited commercial email, a contractor pulls an EML file and conducts analysis. We need to automate this is much as possible so the contractor can look at a report and make some decisions. This needs to be put into a ticketing system for follow-up actions. Mail deletion and retention rules. I'll also need someone to setup new customers manually and new email addresses for those customers until we can automate. Long term needs ________________ Automate client registration and setup, so clients can register, pay and begin using a custom email address and, if they have their own domain, it will walk them through the process of configuring that domain (DNS settings for deliverability), set up auto-forwarding rules, whitelists, set up a catch all account. You may be required in the future to complete an affidavit on how the server is configure and run. Under rare circumstances you may need to sit for a deposition and/or testify in court.
