Sr Embedded Camera Software Engineer

Location: Anywhere in LATAM (Client is based in Costa Rica) Time Coverage- CST Requirements Must-Have • Proven experience working with Raspberry Pi (any model) in real or production projects. • Proficiency in Python 3 and virtual environment management (venv, pip). • Experience with Linux camera libraries: libcamera, Picamera2, OpenCV, or similar. • Knowledge of video streaming protocols: RTSP, GStreamer, FFmpeg, or WebRTC. • Experience building and consuming REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent). • Comfortable with Linux CLI: SSH, systemd, Bash scripting, process management. Nice to Have • 3+ years of experience developing embedded or systems software on Linux. • Experience with AWS IoT, Kinesis Video Streams, or similar cloud services. • Knowledge of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO. • Familiarity with infrared image processing or night vision systems. • Experience running Docker containers on ARM devices. • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for engineering project management.
