Embedded Firmware Engineer – TI Smart Amplifier (TAS2563) Audio & Power Tuning Expert

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer with strong expertise in Texas Instruments (TI) Smart Amplifier solutions, specifically the TAS2563. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with embedded firmware development, audio signal processing, amplifier configuration, speaker tuning, and power optimization. This is a specialized engineering role requiring both firmware development and audio tuning experience for embedded consumer electronics. Responsibilities Configure, integrate, and optimize the TI TAS2563 Smart Amplifier. Develop and modify embedded firmware for amplifier control and audio processing. Perform speaker tuning using TI PurePath Console (PPC3) or related TI tuning tools. Optimize: * Audio quality * Speaker protection * Thermal management * Battery efficiency * Power consumption * Output loudness and clarity Tune DSP parameters including EQ, Dynamic Range Compression (DRC), Limiter, and SmartAmp algorithms. Debug amplifier communication over I2C/I2S. Work with Linux or RTOS-based embedded platforms. Analyze audio performance using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and audio measurement equipment. Resolve firmware, hardware, and audio performance issues. Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate amplifier and speaker performance. Required Skills Strong embedded C/C++ programming experience. Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS. Hands-on experience with TI TAS2563 Smart Amplifier (required). Experience with TI PurePath Console (PPC3) or equivalent TI audio tuning tools. Audio DSP tuning experience. Understanding of speaker acoustics and audio system optimization. Experience with power tuning and battery optimization. Familiarity with audio codecs, amplifiers, and digital audio pipelines. Experience reading schematics and debugging embedded hardware. Knowledge of: * I2C * I2S * SPI * GPIO Preferred Qualifications Experience with additional TI Smart Amplifiers and other amplifiers. Knowledge of TI SmartAmp algorithms and speaker protection. Experience with Android Audio HAL. Experience with DSP programming and digital filters. Familiarity with audio measurement tools such as Audio Precision or similar analyzers.
